Welcome to the 2024 Manatee County Board Retreat! This is a time set aside for board members, staff, and spouses to come together, unplug and get into alignment for the 2024 - 2025 season. Come ready to grow closer to God, closer to your fellow board members and learn the "Keys To Victory" for the Manatee County FCA.

What to Expect

First Day Schedule:

  • Arrival Time: Please plan to arrive at Davenport, Florida 33896 by 10:00 AM. 
  • Lunch: TBA
  • Worship and Word: We will commence with a time of worship and devotion. 
  • FCA 101 and Board Training
  • Competition: Corn hole, table tennis, foosball and more.
  • FCA 201 and Board Training
  • Dinner: TBA
  • Movie: Woodlawn

Second Day Schedule:

  • Breakfast:  
  • Worship and Word: Continue our enriching time of worship and devotion. 
  • Manatee County FCA Planning: Join together for strategic discussions on our calendar, vision, and strategy. 
  • Meeting Conclusion: We anticipate wrapping up the meeting by 1:00 PM. 

Sunday Afternoon Options: 

  • Leisure Time: Feel free to enjoy the amenities, including the club house water park. 
  • Golf: Play 18 holes at ChampionsGate Country Club.
  • Departure: Alternatively, you may choose to head home.

  • What's The Cost?

    Because you're already generous with your Time, Talent and Treasure, this retreat is of ZERO cost to you. 


    *The optional 18 holes of golf is assumed by those golfing.

  • What Should I Pack?

    • Attire for the weekend is business casual / casual.
    • Meeting rooms can be chilly - we recommend that you bring a jacket.
    • Dinner and night social will be conducted outdoors (weather permitting).
    • Home amenities include pool, please look at weather ahead to determine clothing.
    • Golf will be available - feel free to pack your clubs and attire.

  • When Should I Arrive?

    Team building will begin at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 3rd.

  • Are Kids Allowed?

    This weekend is designed specifically to serve board members and staff, So, unfortunately, this is a kid-free weekend.
